100th Day: The children have been counting the days of school since the first day. We are almost at 100! For our 100th Day celebration each child will be asked to bring in a collection of 100 items that they have counted out at home. (You may help your child by grouping them by 10's first before they count them all out.) This 100 collection needs to fit into a container of some kind and the container needs to fit inside their backpack. You do not need to buy anything, your child may choose things like goldfish, little candies, rocks etc. The items may be things they want to share or may be items that need to come back home. Have fun and be creative. The 100th day collections are due Wednesday, January 29th. 1. Please go to: www.readworks.org/student for our January stories relating to our weather/time unit. 2. Submit work when completed. Due January 31st. The Kindergarteners will be passing out Valentines at our Friendship Party, Thursday, February 13th. Valentines can be store bought or handmade and if your child chooses to pass out cards please be sure they have one for each friend. This month as a homework project the children will be asked to share their family traditions. Please see below for this December family, homework project.
